Work with Children
Resources for Students & Educators
We’ve created some resources for educators and students to help with your learning about the work supported by Catholic Mission around the world. We have been mindful of catering for varying expertise, gifts, talents, interests and ideas.
This year, students across Australia are encouraged to not only learn about Cambodia and the work of the Church there, but to do something extraordinary for Mission through the fundraising, advocacy and prayers. The resources are currently under development, but please click here to view last year’s resources.
Schools are also invited to take part in Socktober, a holistic program which incorporates the elements of the World Game, soccer, to bring children from around the world together.
Students are invited to create a “sockball” from recycled materials, register as a fundraiser on the online platform, encourage family and friends to sponsor their efforts and then kick some goals for kids in Cambodia. The penalty shootout concept is one of the most popular aspects of the program and is a flexible, fun and interactive way of engaging students in world mission.
