Student Formation

At Catholic Mission, we are dedicated to engaging Catholic school students across the nation, aiming to inspire them to serve people in need. Our workshops are designed to not only educate but also motivate students, helping them develop a deep sense of empathy and responsibility. We work with experienced leaders in ministry, education, and service, ensuring that each workshop is grounded in a strong foundation of faith and guided by thoughtful, experienced facilitators.

Why us:

Through our workshops, students are invited to reflect on their own values, beliefs, and the systems around them, exploring how they can live out the ‘Joy of the Gospel’ in their everyday lives. These workshops encourage students to examine how their personal and professional choices impact their communities, shaping the way they interact with others and live out their faith.

We can also tailor our workshops to align with your school’s ethos, motto, charism, or annual theme, ensuring that our engagement supports and enhances your educational goals.

By engaging in this process, students embark on a continuing journey towards embodying the teachings of Jesus and making a positive difference in the world around them.

Workshop Options:

  • Know Me (K-3):
Designed for younger students, this interactive workshop uses everyday objects to tell powerful stories. Facilitators guide students through engaging narratives that simulate the challenges faced by youth around the world, encouraging empathy and a deeper understanding of the struggle’s others endure. It’s a hands-on, creative way to foster global awareness at an early age.
  • Dramatic Pictures (Years 4-6):
This workshop invites students to engage with impactful images that stimulate conversation and reflection. Through guided discussions, students will explore the lives of children their own age from various parts of the world, fostering empathy and an understanding of the diverse experiences of children globally. It’s an interactive and thought-provoking way to connect young students to global issues.
  • Haves and Have Nots (Years 7-12):
In this immersive role-playing simulation, students are placed in different "roles" reflecting global, social and economic disparities. This engaging activity allows students to explore significant global issues like poverty, inequality, and access to resources in a deeply personal way, encouraging critical thinking and compassion. It’s designed to challenge older students to reflect on their place in the world and the responsibility they have toward others.
