Missionaries of hope among all peoples

This World Mission Month, Pope Francis called us to be “missionaries of hope among all peoples”, and Pope Leo XIV echoes this call, inviting us to step out in faith, to walk with those on the margins and share the hope of Christ through acts of love. Watch Pope XIV’s special message to you this World Mission Month below!

“I am always asking God… Send me, here I am, use the way you want to use me.”

Bishop Edwin Mulandu

Bishop Edwin Mulandu cherishes his call to journey with his people, embracing their realities with compassion and action.

Two incredible women stand at the heart of this mission:

  • Sr. Jane, a faith-filled woman inspired by her grandfather, a catechist who gave what little he had to the poor. Today, she continues his legacy, empowering women in Zambia to break the cycle of poverty.
  • Kayula, a midwife, whose mission is clear: to give every mother and baby a safe, dignified start to life.

Through their work, lives are changing. Hope is growing. And you, through Catholic Mission, can be part of this incredible transformation.

“…we have hope that God is going to help us. Catholic Mission is really assuring us that we are going to get there, that our dreams are going to be realised.”
