Cardinal Bo Media Kit

Catholic Mission has the pleasure of welcoming His Eminence Cardinal Charles Maung Bo SDB, Archbishop of Yangon, who will visit Australia this May.

It will be his second visit to Australia, offering an opportunity to gather with friends and supporters and to reflect on the lived reality of our sisters and brothers in Myanmar. Since his last visit in 2018, the situation in Myanmar has become more complex, with ongoing internal violence, political instability and the displacement of many communities.

During his visit, Cardinal Bo will take part in a range of events, including one-on-one meetings and public gatherings. This will include a special panel discussion on the theme of ‘Dialogue for Peace, Humanity and Justice’ with His Eminence Cardinal Mykola Bychok, Eparch of Melbourne, and the Most Reverend Peter Andrew Comensoli, Archbishop of Melbourne.

Below are the details of his visit. We encourage you to use the resources provided on this page and to get in touch with Astrid Delayre, Catholic Mission’s Communications Officer, for any enquiries or to arrange a private interview with the Cardinal.
