Support Bethlehem University: An Oasis and Instrument of Peace in the Holy Land
Catholic Mission is proud to partner with Bethlehem University in the Holy Land, a beacon of hope and education in the heart of the Holy Land. Bethlehem University, known as an "oasis of peace" and an "instrument of peace" in a region marked by conflict, was founded in 1973 following Pope Paul VI's visit to the Holy Land in 1964. This joint venture between the Holy See (Vatican) and the De La Salle Christian Brothers is the only Catholic university in the Holy Land. The mission of Bethlehem University is to ignite, cultivate, and equip learners for virtuous and honorable lives of professional excellence, committed citizenship, and ethical leadership for Palestine and the world. This is a testament to the shared values of Catholic Mission and the Catholic Church: fostering peace, promoting education, and nurturing future leaders.
Bethlehem University urgently needs your support to assist its 3,300 students in financing their education and to implement projects that advance its educational mission. Your contributions will help provide:
- Scholarships for financially needy students and personal support for students with special needs.
- Upgraded equipment for biodiversity, sustainability, natural history, chemistry, biology, medical, and software engineering programs.
- Support for faculty research and professional development.
- Support for the Well-Being of Students
- Supervised clinical hours for nursing students—general nursing, midwifery, oncology, and palliative care—totaling 1,155 hours over four years, at a cost of $150,000 per year.
By supporting Bethlehem University, you invest in the future of Palestine and the global Church. Together, let's empower Bethlehem University to continue its mission of fostering peace, education, and leadership for a brighter future.
