Fr Brian Lucas, National Director - update July 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the whole world in so many ways.
While Australia is still at risk, and we must remain vigilant, there is a sense of hope we can continue to flatten the curve. Other countries are not so lucky.
“What Catholic Mission and the international network of Pontifical Mission Societies can do, is to help some of the most vulnerable people in the world”, says Catholic Mission National Director, Fr Brian Lucas.
“As one Africa Cardinal has explained, the economic restrictions might mean his people will starve before they are infected with the virus.”
Your partnership matters
In times of hardship, it’s important that we stick together. COVID-19 is having a significant impact on our mission partners and the Church, and it’s vital that we help support the work of mission to the most vulnerable in this time.
