for Life
Leaders for Life is the regular giving program for Catholic Mission's work with Church Leaders.
This special work is the only funding available to help educate and sustain men and women for the priesthood and religious life in many parts of the world today. Inspired by the example of Jesus, Catholic Mission works towards its vision and mission of ‘Life for All'.
Catholic Mission wants you to be as well-informed as possible about the great work we're doing and share the many stories we hear that are only possible because of you. It's our way of thanking you for your continued support. At a minimal cost, you'll receive a newsletter four times a year.
More than 77,000 seminarians are supported around the world each year. That's a wonderful achievement.
Generous donations have helped immensely in the formation and education of the future priests of Sri Lanka. The cost per day per student is just A$5.20. Last year the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka – the premier institute of priestly formation in Sri Lanka – had 218 students, which means they needed $1134 a day. The students attend classes 260 days of the year, therefore they need $294,840 per year to run the seminary.
